The Draft Plaques and Memorials Policy aims to introduce a clear framework for how plaques and memorials can be considered, approved and installed on Council - owned land or buildings.

The Plaques and Memorials policy ensure that these commemorations reflect people or events of outstanding significance to the Southern Grampians Shire and its history.

These new guidelines will also make certain that installations are appropriate to their surroundings, low-maintenance, and designed to avoid environmental or safety impacts.
